Nikiforos Papachristos was born in Gelsekirchen, Germany in 1974 and as an adult he realized that if he is somehow good at something, it is at organizings things and helping others to learn. Holding bachelors in Physics and in Education and a Master's degree in ICT and Mathematics in Education, he got his PhD from the Department of Primary Education at the University of Ioannina in Virtual Reality in Education, in 2012. Since 2005 he is a research associate with the Educational Approaches to Virtual Reality Lab at the University of Ioannina, a lab that focuses on the question "How do people learn with technology?" He has participated as a project manager, educator, instructional designer and software developer in many national and international R&D and educational projects.
