A technically impressive first-person shooter. Fight off waves of zombies with huge weapons and a range of gadgets. Finally, Gear owners can see what they’ve been missing out on on Rift and Vive; hundreds and hundreds of zombie shooters.
Recommendation: If you’re serious about gaming on Gear, this is a good one to grab.
This is a strange looking little platformer. Set in a bunch of different worlds, you progress through a “hobbit-like” story as you set out on a quest to beat Balazar. An Oculus Touch update is also coming for the game in December.
Recommendations: A pretty strange-looking game, but unlike anything we’ve seen of Rift.
One of Gear VR’s most stylish games arrives on Rift. Take on the role of a bullet and steer your way through complex levels searching for your target with head-tracked controls. It’s a brilliant idea though it’s a recipe for simulator sickness too.
Recommendation: Drift is only for those with the strongest of stomachs.
This probably wins the award for best name for a VR game in some time. Scarily, it has elements of horror in it. Bad VR trip, anyone? You’ll explore a strange world with mysterious creatures, solving riddles and discovering secrets.
Recommendation: Well, it certainly sounds unlike anything else.
