It’s that time of year again. The time when your grandma asks everyone at the table to go around and say what they are thankful for this year. Well, for the next 300 words or so just consider me the grandmother of the VR world. So dearies, what are you thankful for?
Lay it on me jazz cats
This has been an unbelievable year for virtual reality. For crying out loud you can go into a Best Buy today and purchase something that used to only exist on the pages of science fiction novels. With the push of a button we can now transport ourselves virtually anywhere we wan to go, do virtually anything we want to do, and make virtually any pun we want to make.
Just twelve months ago all we could do was dream of what it would feel like to step into the Rift, strap on a Vive, or boot up a PS VR. Now, most of us that cared to dive in early have our headsets and are already tearing through one amazing experience after another. Whether you decided to purchase a Rift, a Vive a PS VR, a Gear VR or something else entirely, we’re all a part of one big immersive family this year and let’s use this post as a place to celebrate that fact.
Look, there’s a lot going on in the world right now politically, economically, environmentally etc. But right now, on the eve of eating ourselves into a collective coma, let’s just take a second to focus on the stuff that makes us happy not angry.
Take it from your ol’ grandma, it’s nice to think positive every now and again.
