Amazon already offered some simple AR features with its shopping experiences, but the most recent update to its flagship iOS shopping app now includes official ARKit support.
The update makes it easy to view thousands of products inserted at realistic scale into areas of your home. Check out the trailer showing off the feature in action:
You can access the feature by opening the Amazon app on an iPhone 6S or newer with iOS 11 installed, then click on the camera icon. Choose “AR view” to find the list of products you can see inserted into your space. Products available to view in AR include furniture, toys, games and home décor, among others. It’s easy to rotate the objects and move them around the space.
