Now that the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is in full swing it can be tough to keep track of everything. Each day is jam-packed full of announcements and as we get the time to go hands-on with everything we’ve got impressions and news stories coming out extremely quickly.

Day 1: Tuesday, January 8th
- Pimax displayed their upcoming controllers. With a striking resemblence to Valve’s ‘Knuckles’ prototypes, these controllers are slated to release in April.
- HTC clarified that Vive Cosmos is tethered, not a standalone like Oculus Quest.
- Oculus Rift Price Cut: Facebook reduced the Rift’s price to $349.
- TPCast Air Announced: a low cost wireless transmission solution to turn standalone headsets into PC headsets
- We previewed Population: One, a polished VR 24-player battle royale shooter with a massive one-kilometer map.
Day 0: Monday, January 7th
- HTC Vive Cosmos announced: an upcoming PC VR headset with inside-out tracking. Interestingly, it seems to no longer require SteamVR, instead using HTC’s new Vive Reality System. Could also be powered by a HTC phone.
- HTC Vive Pro Eye announced: a refresh of the HTC Vive Pro, now with eye tracking enabling foveated rendering.
- NVIDIA’s CEO claims that 4 million PC VR headsets have been sold
- GeForce RTX 2060 announced: $349 VR-ready GPU. Faster than a GTX 1070 Ti, includes a USB-C VirtualLink port for future VR headsets.
- VirtualLink Laptops announced: RTX GPUs will soon be launching in laptops, and they support the VirtualLink USB-C port for future VR headsets. Asus announce the first VirtualLink laptop.
- Viveport Infinity announced: unlmited access to 500+ VR apps and games with a single subscription.
