Just ahead of the launch of his new movie next month, thunder god Thor has been confirmed for the upcoming Marvel: Powers United.
Thor made his debut during the Oculus Connect keynote talk today. A trailer for the game, developed by Ripcoil creator Sanzaru Games, shows the hero battling alongside Hulk in an arena similar to the one seen in the trailers for Thor: Ragnarok. Hulk is in his gladiator attire, too, riffing on the classic Planet Hulk storyline.
The thunder god, meanwhile, uses his mythical hammer, Mjolnir, to beat back enemies with brute force. Along with Hulk, he’ll join Black Bolt, Crystal, Deadpool, Captain Marvel and Rocket Raccoon in the four-player co-op game when it launches in 2018. We’re expecting plenty more characters going forward, too.
