Sony’s PlayStation VR (PSVR) is one of the most accessible headsets out there, but setting it up can still be a little tricky. Fortunately, Sony has just refreshed its video tutorials for setting up the device to highlight its new model.
Last month Sony revealed an updated version of PSVR with a few handy refinements like allowing high dynamic range (HDR) passthrough for traditional PS4 games when the headset’s plugged in, and a few little aesthetic rearrangements not just to the headset but its various accessories too.
All this means a slightly tweaked setup process for your new model, and the three videos below will walk you through setting up both options. It also specifies between setting up the base PS4 and new PS4 Pro where necessary.
One thing the video does reveal is that the new model directly connects to the PSVR’s breakout box, whereas the original version connected to a wire instead.
The new model PSVR is arriving soon in the US and EU, while Japan got it last month.
