Art Clay is renowned as a versatile artist, curator, and educator. As an artist, he has been awarded prizes for performance art, media art, music theater, and composition. As a curator and producer, he has designed and implemented events focusing on creatively connecting art, science, and technology within a diverse cultural contexts in many parts of the world. As founder and artistic director of the Digital Art Weeks his activities include developing and platforming projects that pioneer new technologies include working with renowned institutes such as EPFL, ETH Zurich, University of the Arts, Zurich, Xian Academy of the Arts, Sogang University, Seoul National University, and for various private and government agencies and institutions including SAST, Create Center at NUS, A2Star and more. He has been supported by governmental agencies, art councils, private foundations, and industry partners such as Presence Switzerland, Pro Helvetia, Swissnex China, Swissnex Singapore, Japan Foundation, the Canada Council, LG Electronics. and many others As educator, he has taught over the past ten years at a number of high ranking institutes in diverse countries in Europe, North America and Asia. At present, he is Guest Professor at Sogang University of Seoul South Korea and directs the Virtuale Switzerland, a festival for virtual arts in Switzlerand.
